EwingCole Expands Healthcare Team
Irvine, California (April 2013) – EwingCole, one of the nation’s leading architecture, engineering, and interior design firms, is pleased to announce that senior healthcare architect Lisa Alzona, RA, LEED AP, EDAC has joined the firm’s Irvine, California office.
“Lisa enhances EwingCole’s ability to serve healthcare institutions,” said James Wilson, AIA, managing principal of the California office. “She has over ten years designing in the California healthcare market, strong knowledge of current and evolving best practice trends, and broad depth of design knowledge gained from working both nationally and internationally. Her vast planning experience enables us to expand our work helping institutions strategize for the future.”
Ms. Alzona will immediately join the EwingCole design team as Senior Medical Planner. Formerly senior medical planner for HOK and HDR in Southern California, Ms. Alzona has extensive experience with California institutions including Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, USC University Hospital and Kaiser Permanente. She has also worked on a number of Public Private Partnership hospital projects, including the Northern Beaches Hospital Campus in Sydney, Australia and the Humber River Regional Hospital in Toronto, Canada; as well as projects for the Cleveland Clinic in Abu Dhabi and the Bejing International Medical Center’s Cancer Center.
“Lisa’s years of experience, depth of design knowledge and diverse expertise will continue our growth and presence in the California healthcare market,” said Wilson.
Ms. Alzona, a California registered Architect, also holds Evidence Based Design Certification and is a LEED Accredited Professional. She earned a Bachelor of Science, Architecture degree from the University of the Philippines.
